Subject: Phil rocks.
Phil Lesh is one of the baddest mother fu%#er's of all time . He's one of the best singers, and one of the best looking mother fu#@ER'S You've ever seen. Thanks to Phil and everyone else involved in making all this fine music available to us all, free of charge. 2001-07-07 is my favorite download so far.

Dude, you're hilarious. I love how you make all of these assumptions about my life and my belief system based on a few words I've written about a few Dead shows. Impeccable.

Something tells me, by your vernacular (look it up) that you aren't exactly well-versed in grammar. Which is fine, but for someone your age it's quite humiliating.

I'm sorry that I don't believe in a fairy-land utopia where everyone is taken care of. I like the fact, that in this country, if you bust your ass you can prosper. Poverty is the result of laziness and irresponsibility.

Close-mindedness is a shame. You say I buy into propaganda? What, and you don't? It's all relative. It's not propaganda when you sympathize with the liars spreading it, is it? Fucking idiot.

Wow, I never thought I'd hear such hostility in the review section of Phil's music. Leshtricity, dude I was with you til you said you want to fight the guy at some show. Jesus people, this is supposed to be a place to review the show not work out your rage at current political issues.

So, enough for my rant. On to the review. This show is amazing. I had not given Phil and friends much of a chance, having been disapointed with most post Jerry attempts at live Dead music. Then I heard this show on gdradio.net....I'm sold. Tight music that jams. what more could I ask for. A must have.

If you think this war is so justified why aren't you two over there fighting? Or are you like John Wayne(who never fought) or Sylvester Stallone(who taught volleyball during Vietnam) or
Dick Cheney who had 4 deferments because he had more important things to do then protect and fight for his country. Or Rudy Guilliani who had 5 deferments during Vietnam, or the chickenhawk president we have now that was AWOL.

If I was a Republican dickhead I guess I would sit on my ass and cheer the fact that I never have to see coffins and our president, who sent these brave young boys and girls to war to die doesn't even have enough respect to go to one funeral!!!!

Lets not even mention the missing weapons in Iraq or our turning over of our government to the oil companies---and we all know they only have the best intentions for our world and our lives----I am puking in a bucket right now the words themselves make me ill. People like you need to be re-educated. Maybe if you had to go to Iraq you would be. I truly feel sorry for people that are so stupid they don't even understand the world around them.

I think this is one of the best phil and friends shows on this site
and I agree that to make negative remarks about anyone who
serves our great country is a asshole so there Mr. loophead

Subject: Great Night
I was on the drink rail, Warren side of the center section, on the aisle. The opening Jam>Scarlet>Jam>Blue Sky is functionally a single piece, and one of my favorite Scarlets.

They had not played together in this configuration for some time, and this first burst of energy was clearly thrilling for everyone on stage. The Cumberland first set closer is also a real mindblower for speed and energy.

I think The Warfield had just installed a new set of Meyer stacks. The sound was stunning compared to the old house PA. It seemed to be loudest this first night, as if they were testing the limits of the new system.

Of the three nights this has the most energy, IMHO. Agree with everyone about the UBC being outstanding, it is played with the extended coda that had been tossed around a few times before.

Listen to the difference in structure of this UBC vs 10-28-00.

This show was the day I got back from my first tour in Iraq. I got it a few weeks later from a friend, and it has deep personal meaning. The sound is great, and Warren is in great form. The Unbroken Chain is worth the download alone.

Phil might not be the best singer but he sure does ROCK, i would put up ANY of his shows against ANY Grateful Dead from 91-95 and hands down Phil wins.
This is a great show. Nice Unbroken>Help>SLip

Subject: Best Show Ever?
I can't believe that there is only one review here on this show. I was fortunate enough to attend this run of shows and this night may be the best concert I ever attended. If you were there, you know what I'm talking about. The energy was beyond comprehension and the band was even better. As the previous reviewer noted, the "Unbroken Chain" is the finest to this day and coming in at 18 minutes no less.....Nothing I can write here will do any good. Download this show and enjoy every drop.

Unbroken Chain is sublime. Best version I've heard, including studio and live Grateful Dead. It leads us into Help> Slip> Franklin's, too. 5 stars for the playing, 5 for the sound quality. A standout among P&F shows.
